When should my child first see a dentist?
The AAPD (opens in a new tab) recommends a first visit by age one. Our first-visit page explains how to prepare.
What is the New Patient Orientation?
It is an optional visit with no treatment. Parents and children meet the team and get familiar with the office before a clinical visit. Ask about arranging one when you call.
Can parents come into the treatment area?
Yes. Parents are welcome and encouraged to participate in their child’s care. Ask the team how to support your child during the visit.

Tell us in advance. Dr. Nik uses puppets, songs, and storytelling to build trust. We can discuss familiarization and other comfort options based on your child’s needs.
What makes pediatric dentistry different?
Pediatric dentists complete additional specialty training to care for children. Learn about pediatric dentistry and baby teeth.
How should I care for my child’s teeth at home?
Our parent guide covers brushing, fluoride toothpaste, food and drinks, habits, and tooth development.
